Niralambaya Academy of Yogic Arts was born out of a desire to create a unique and comprehensive learning experience for individuals requiring a certification. The brilliant and distinguished faculty were carefully selected to participate in this program. This program is strongly rooted in anatomy and physiology to give the teachers graduating from this program the opportunity to apply their knowledge to both the therapeutic and athletic specific realms that Yoga can provide their future students. It is our hope that this program will give our graduates wings on which they may take flight on the journey into educating others of the wonder of Yoga.
Rather than focus on one particular style of Yoga, we will introduce our students to a variety of different styles. In doing so, it is our hope that they will find what resonates most with them. We have gathered together a diverse faculty, comprised of the best that exists in New England.
We will meet for one weekend a month on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm for 13 months. The cost of this program is $2800 (Early Bird Pricing). A completed application as well as a $500 non-refundable deposit is required to be considered for enrollment. Space is limited, so please complete the application process early.
The program will consist of 200 hours divided among the requirements and guidelines set forth by The National Yoga Alliance. Niralambaya is a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance at the 200 Hour Level. You will be provided with a list of required textbooks as well as an optional reading list. CPR Certification will also be required.

Glen Cunningham, R.Y.T.
As a teacher, Glen brings to his classes what has inspired him as a student. Initially drawn in by the physical intensity of yoga, it was ultimately the more subtle experiences offered by the practice that kept him coming back to his mat. The mental “quiet,” the emotional balance and the spiritual insight that yoga instills – these are the reasons he continues to practice and the lessons which fuel his teaching.
Glen's classes, with their fusion of vinyasa (flowing postures), pranayama (breath work), alignment and philosophy are intended to help students “connect” – to their bodies, to their breathing, to “themselves” – allowing them a valuable moment of pause…a chance to RE-connect with their intuition, and ultimately, to remember what’s most important to them in their lives and which direction they’re intending to head.
Glen’s teaching draws heavily from the teachers and mentors who have educated and inspired him over the years. In particular, he would like to thank Anusara Yoga (developed by John Friend) and Todd Norian (Glen’s first Anusara teacher) for the support and foundation that the Anusara system of yoga has offered him. What a gift! Glen considers himself to be an Anusara-inspired vinyasa yoga teacher.
Today, Glen is the co-owner and head teacher of Sadhana Yoga Studios (www.sadhanastudios.com) with locations in Boston’s South End and in Everett, MA – recognized as Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston” in 2003, 2006 and 2007. Sadhana is a community-centered yoga studio focused on educating and supporting its students in the development of their own well-rounded “sadhana” or “practice.”
Pam Gaither, R.Y.T.
Pam Gaither (R.Y.T.) began practicing yoga as a young girl along side her mother. She began teaching yoga in 1998. Her Anusara-inspired class incorporates Universal Principles of Alignment, balanced energetic action, and a celebration of the Heart. Deeply transformative, spiritually uplifting, powerfully integrative, Anusara offers a new approach to Yoga where science, awareness, energy, and intention all blend within the light of the Heart.
Pam studies extensively with John Friend, Anusara's founder, and certified Anusara teachers Deb Neubauer, Todd Norian and Desiree Rumbaugh. The richness of her teaching is inspired by her own amazing teachers, her personal dedication to yoga, and her life-long commitment to a spiritual path of transformation and healing. Pam's genuine desire is to inspire others to discover their inner radiance, delight in their inherent worthiness, and celebrate this great ritual of awakening.
Roberto Lim
Roberto is a lover and devotee of flow in all forms. He is a student and teacher of Prana Flow® yoga because the style deeply resonates within him through its synthesis of the breath and movement, its roots in the arts and traditions of yoga, Bhakti, Tantra and Ayurveda, and its incorporation of other forms of movement and music to facilitate the great evolutionary process of yoga.
Roberto is deeply grateful to Shiva Rea who is a constant source of inspiration and taught him to "follow the path of the Radiant Life Force," and to his other teacher Paul Muller Ortega with whom he studies the non-dual Tantra of Kashmir Shaivism and the practice of Neelakantha Meditation.
"I believe that love is universal and you can learn something from anyone as long as you are open to this universal principle. The beauty of yoga is: the experience of transcending one's limited view of self; presence, a state of mind, body, and spirit union; and Oneness, connection with all beings and the Great Flow of Consciousness."
Jon Brandi, E.R.Y.T. (Brom)
Jon is a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor, member of KYTA, and Reiki Master. In addition, he has studied Mindfulness Meditation & Ashtanga yoga. He was inspired to start taking yoga after watching a documentary on the artist Sting in 1997. Struggling for most of his teenage years with anxiety, Jon came to yoga in search of a quiet mind, a fit body and a way to deepen his spirituality. A musician, illustrator and performer for most of his life, Jon brings his creativity, humor, and enthusiasm to his classes. He is committed to helping students cultivate peace within and develop compassionate bodily awareness. (www.bromyoga.com)

Amy M. Spencer E.R.Y.T.
Amy Spencer is a certified Yoga Instructor and is registered with the National Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing and teaching for over a decade. The moment she stepped foot into her first class, she knew that she wanted to become an instructor. Along her journey, she has been blessed to come in contact with some of the most inspiring and dedicated masters of their craft, such as Dharma Mittra, Desiree Rumbaugh, Rodney Yee, Rolf Gates, Pam Gaither, David Magone, Ana Forrest, Yoganand Michael Carroll, Edward Clark and numerous others.
With the help of her local recreation department, Amy took her classes outside this past summer to the town beach. Combining her style of teaching with this serene setting created a unique and effective learning environment for her students. These classes were extremely well attended and generated a lot of local publicity. Two local papers featured full page, full cover spreads of the outdoor yoga. The energy generated from these classes prompted Amy to start her own business. It also inspired many of her students to inquire about a teacher training program that was similarly accessible. Amy then made the decision to become the conduit and connect these students with her teachers. Niralambaya Academy of Yogic Arts was born!
